Canada isn't morally superior
The following is an excerpt from Roy Rempel's book, Dreamland: How Canada's Pretend Foreign Policy Has Undermined Sovereignty.

This appears to be another book for my bookcase, right alongside Fire & Ice and The Vanishing Country.

I believe Yank is right neither the public or our politicians have much of a spine anyway I thought this topic would have been about third world exploitations .
Well, well, I fully understand what is going on over here. It's like, making fun of your own king who defends you when he is not around you.

There is no one for you to defend us from...

It might be an interesting read...too bad his stuff about ABM is total BS. Martin cancelled it because 3/4 of Canadians were against it (and still are). Imagine that, a politician listening to the people who elected him...

While Canada Slept hits on similar themes, I highly recommend it.
I agree wholeheartedly with the article. I think many in the population have taken on this approach as their own. Unfortunately it overshadows anything great about Canada. Canada needs to restore its own identity, and agree or disagree based on its own values, and not for political expediency. Canada will find new respect domestically and internationally.

I've also heard the term "democracy" used.

ROTFL Priceless!
Since American morality is now firmly in control of the TV evangelists and their ilk, I can hardly see how this thread tital isn't true.
