It'll be even worse if they try to guess my laptop password, 'cause I'm not telling them what it is.

All they will be looking for is DRM, if they don't find it then they consider it contraband and can act accordingly. You have the original at home and you made a legitimate copy? Too bad!
This is an issue both the left, right and center can agree. This is bullshit. Yay for non-partisanship!

Haha good call. Only a matter of time before a hacker figures out a way to lock an ipod too.
I paid for that music through the tax I paid on recordable media. Even when I put the family photo albums on CD someone made money.

Yea. If they're going to sign this treaty, they'd better repeal that levy post-haste. Otherwise they're thieving hypocrites.

Not on this issue at least.

Oh Martin, we college students are smarter than we look, if we can smuggle massive amounts of drugs into the US, I'm sure we can stuff an Ipod into our pants and escape the Customs assfucks
Well, you are also leaving yourself to some very derisive laughter. It may look like you stuffed it in your pants to make --eh---well---eh--your "package" look bigger. If an ipod will do that than it will be the cause of great fun at the frontier.
Don't blame the poor Customs guys--it's not like it was their idea. Try big recording lobbies that pay off the politicians.
But, yeah, I can't imagine a law more easy to circumnavavgate.
