Don't worry about it Zen...I've grown used to being followed from thread to thread and site to site by people with chemical imbalances in their tiny brains.

Ralph @ Fri Aug 20, 2004 6:25 pm

USA Today - Washington Post - Washington Times - Afghanistan News - Al Jazeera -London Times - London Telegraph - Pakistan News Service
These are a few of the papers that I read everyday depending on what topic I am interested in
I try and maintain a balance when developing a position on a subject.
So when I hear someone that has not tried to see the other side of the issue I tend to start shooting from the hip.
I should not do this and will try not to in it future.

Comtech @ Fri Aug 20, 2004 7:34 pm

I am no fan of Americans or Mr.Bush, but what would we say if an American made a similar site about our PM, or any of our elected officials for that matter? We would consider them arrogant pigs(rightfully so of course) and tell them to mind their own damned business. Besides America doesn't need an election, they need a revolution.

Rev_Blair @ Fri Aug 20, 2004 8:01 pm

Would we though? I've never bought into the "my country right or wrong thing" and would agree with any points that I thought were valid.

In other words, Comtech, I encourage others to criticise our leaders just as we do. We may not be as powerful as the United States, but we are influential We can fuck up too...especially if we don't screaming for what we believe in.

Gonzo @ Sun Aug 22, 2004 9:29 am

Canada is always being told what to do by the united states. The american ambassador to Canada was never shy to speak his mind about us. We're a free country and we can say whatever we want. Nixon called Trudeau an asshole. Trudeaus reply? "I've been called worse things by better people". If america is a free country then they should believe in freedom of speach, from there own people and other citizens around the world. And if they want to meddle in other countries affairs as they so often do then they'll have to expect foreign citizens to have an opinion and speak there minds.

karra karra:
$1:
Except of course you are stalking him. Afterall, we don't see the Rev trying to publish your name on these forums.

I disagree. If he's stupid enough to publish all of his personal information on numerous boards potentially viewed by dare I say, millions - what on earth would he expect. No one here outed the holy roller, he did it and continues to do it here, there and everywhere.

If you don't think I'm right - post your personal info everywhere you go followed by the extreme left undecipherable crap he writes for gullible and impressionable teenagers - and see how long it takes a stalker or twelve to pester you.

Stalking him? Give yourself a shake Zen. That's his usual cry me a river attitude when called to task on his pithy, droll and frequently hard left wacko undecipherable psychobabble.

Karra, In order to run for office I had to post my personal data for all to see. Are you saying if you care enough to think about the issues concerning you in political debate that you should shut up? I am not saying Rev is running for office but what your doing Karra, and I don't think you see this, is fear mongering with statements like that. If you can't tolerate a point of view, do you stalk? I know if I knew of a pedophile posting on the board, I would, to the best of my ability, report him to the local authorities. Rev is posting political, cultural, ethical and moral platitudes not crimial however. You have the right to disagree and debate but I think your the one who is extreme here.

karra @ Sun Aug 22, 2004 2:06 pm

You doth protest too much Scape, methinks.

The choice to put your private and sometimes personal information on the web is entirely your choice. As an adult you are well aware of some of the consequences of such an action, one being as I've stated, attracting a stalker.

Knowing, as he does that his remarks while frequently indecipherable and frequently far to the left, are likely to and maybe designed to ignite. When I hear him bellyaching as is his wont when he's not getting sufficient attention that he's being stalked well, you may feel sorry for him, I certainly don't.

In light of the fact that he's cried 'wolf' on numerous occasions as is evidenced by the exchange that took place between himself and wing at etches where I believe you're a member. Keep in mind that wing has known him for approx three or four years and is well versed as the antics your friend will get up to.

Bottom line - perhaps men have a different perspective than women. . . .

Check it out. . . .

Scape @ Sun Aug 22, 2004 2:58 pm

I concur with the idea that Rev is a catalyst and I have no doubt he does revel in the throws of good debate. However, if he was a left leaning lunatic who was a rambling, incoherent fool then his arguments would be easily and quickly refuted in short order. Also, his repeated pleas of woe is me in a public forum would land on deaf ears like the boy who cried wolf. On this board he has been attacked and saying he should expect what he gets is like saying a woman who wears a string bikini should expect to be raped.

karra @ Sun Aug 22, 2004 5:10 pm

Your ability to obfuscate is certainly on a par with his as is your ability to avoid and deflect.

Some would say that's the makings of a politician. I would differ however, and suggest that's the makings of a politician whose only interest is the size of the trough and how much they can consume. . . .

I thought we were talking about safety issues and the idiot(s) stalking him.

As to him being a catalyst - he most certainly is to the unitiated, impressionable and gullible teenagers currently out of school and frequenting boards the www over - it meets his narcissistic needs nicely don't you think?

Scape @ Sun Aug 22, 2004 7:22 pm

1st you say he is stupid to publish his personal information and should expect not only flak but also stalking (which is illegal in the real world).
2nd When he reacts to the attacks he is unjustified to defend himself for he should have kept his mouth shut in the first place for giving such ludicrous ideas a platform to begin with.

Now correct me if I am wrong for I am paraphrasing and might be obfuscating for some nefarious personal political agenda. That is essentially what your saying and to continue the thought: if he plays in heavy traffic he's going to get run over. Fine, what if he was right instead of left would you doth protest too much Karra? I highly doubt it, so the idea that your doing all this for the Revs 'safety' is ludicrous to say the least.

Rev_Blair @ Mon Aug 23, 2004 4:01 am

Oh look, the whole threads become about me. Karra isn't obessessed though. No, not at all.

RoyalHighlander @ Mon Aug 23, 2004 4:55 am

I wish you 2 would get along cause the constant bickering and name calling is become old and a pain in the ass now... I think you 2 should keep your BS confined to the rants section from now on and ONLY there.. If I see any bs from now on eg. name calling (karras is good at that) and so forth I will just move the whole thread to that sectioon... No if's and's or buts from now on...Ive had complaints from members that they go into a thread and find more and more its been highjacked by you 2 and your petty bullshit, and have taken it wayyyyyy off topic .. So thats my decision on that... Rants section or no where..

Rev_Blair @ Mon Aug 23, 2004 5:01 am

I've been trying the "not at all" option for a while now, RH. It doesn't seem to have slowed her down at all.

Donny_Brasco @ Mon Aug 23, 2004 12:46 pm

It seems to me that adding a real name to your opinions makes them much more valid and credible then hiding behind some alias.

Anyone watch 60 Minutes yesterday about the drug companies with monopolies on Drugs in the US? They are gouging you. Bush has signed new bills to allow the gouging to continue.

What is the use of these drugs if the average person needs to lop off a limb just to pay for them? That's freedom?

How about the freedom to come to Canada and but those same drugs made by the same companies at drastically reduced prices?

To me, there is no freedom in the US, unless you are rich and powerful. Bush, Kerry...Democrat or Republican...it is not going to make much of a difference. People will be turned away from hospitals and die. The underclass will be sent to war and will die. Frustrated people will kill each other and be executed themselves. CEO's, politicians and bureaucrats will continue to cheat and steal from the people.

Someday Americans will wake up and use the right to bare arms in the manner that your fore-fathers meant.

Inciting violence are we? Now who would be the 1st shot? The people in power or the people who speak for them? Would you condone someone shooting someone like Karra? Will she be the stew in the new Boston Tea Party?
