Donate to the Red Cross (Florida destruction)
With the storms that have hit Florida this week, the resources of the Red Cross have been stretched. If you are able, maybe you could contact your local red Cross and make a donation of either cash or other items they may need to help the victems of the 2 hurricanes there. When you donate you can ask that your donation be earmarked for the Florida victims

Can’t do that in Quebec they give you enough trouble trying to bank your own blood for upcoming operations.
To think that someone would think that we would give anything to the people who are causing so much trouble in the world as they dedicate their resources to mayhem rather than bailing out the idiots who built their houses on a hurricaine prone flood plain. FLORIDA yet, the state where Georgie claims to have sealed his dubious electoral victory and where his brother is governer. I think this whole hurricaine thing is divine justice on the freaks.
eee, i dont donate for them, the major population is already dieying
but if the orginazion tell me that the major money will go to the poor people that live in a truck house that we see when we take the train destination palm-beach-miami, sure i give.
Good cause I will probably throw some charity their way.

We lead in the amount dished out in foreign AID. Plus, humans are humans- have a little compassion- the RED CROSS IS INTERNATIONAL.

Typical rhetoric coming from liberal scum such as him. He probably values animal life over human life.

For your information not that it matters the US federal government has already provided huge federal support to theses victims. in the forum of FEMA. The Red Cross and other PRIVATE such organizations, is the primary means upon which Americans do disaster relief not only here at home but around the world.
Americans are not a nation of government but of individuals! and those individuals are entitled, and indeed thou tax incentives induced into providing large parts of their income to a charity organization, of their choosing. Not forced, by big government!!
Yes we have and will continue to take care of our own, and we have a lot of natural disasters in the US, from hurricanes, in the south and east. to forest fires in the west. to earth quakes on the west coast. to Volcanic eruptions in Hawaii and actual a few other states. All of theses things, are taken care of not only by Federal and state agencies, but largely the private originations such as the red cross as well.
Charity is only meaningfully if it is not forced on people by government, but on the account of their own free will, and choices! And Americans have a lot of freewill and choices for charity, more so than Canadians if you included American private donations which like I said make up the bulk of US aid.
Also your contention that the US government doesn’t have the funds to deal with theses disasters because American action abroad. Show a serious misunderstanding and underestimating of your American neighbor to the south. Unlike Canada, the United States Government is making a lot of money, because the American economy is doing very well, when compared to Canada’s. Lets put it this way, Alberta is by far the most successful province in Canada, making a GDP % of about 40 thousand US dollars a person. Many in Canada attribute that, Alberta’s oil wealth, and while that has a lot to do with it, being so much higher than the Canadian average, about 31 thousand US dollars person with Alberta. That number is actual only right around or approaching US NATIONAL average of about 41 thousand dollars a person and claming. And most US states don’t have the huge Oil wealth advantage Alberta has, yet their still doing on average just as well. The point I’m trying to make here is, like Alberta compared with the rest of Canada, the US has a lot more money per person than Canada, and can therefore afford to do a lot more things. Regardless of the reason why Canada as a whole is doing so badly(Socialism!)
a) GDP does not a good country make.
b) you're comparing the US national average to one provinicial average... I expect, though I can't be bothered myself, that you'd find there are plenty of less than prospering states in the US. Regardless, you don't see everyone walking around with $41k in their pocket, so your numbers are about as relevent as this:

Christ your a fuckwit aren't you. Ontario is Canada's economic engine as much if not more then Alberta. You tirade about Canada being "socialist" is just nonsense. We may have a socialist style medicine but we are far from a socialist country. As for your sig stating that only the US is the land of the free all I have to do is mention your recent eminent domain rulings to dispute that. I also think the UK & AUS may have something to say if you don't consider them "free" either. Take your worthless trashtalk elsewhere.

You're just a real piece of work, aren't you?
Just curious, all the people in Florida who voted for Gore in 2000...to hell with them, too? The vote was only 400+ apart after all.

Just a little harsh, especially since we know, he stole that election. But if you think that is bad wait till Jeff Bush becomes president, then we`ll laugh.
Personally I live in Quebec, and me and my wife have both donated money, and blood (Hema-Quebec), and the Lions club I am affiliated with in Montreal has collected over $15,000. for the American Red Cross.
All my sympathies and prayers go out to the poor people in Louisanna and the neighbouring states for this hardship they are going thru.
Peace
