Not a Colony has a list up of some of the USA's more questionable pals over the years. Each entry comes complete with a brief history. An interesting read, though a bit dated...it's from 1995 so doers not include some of the USA's new friends.

Fulgencio Batista ismy favorite. I have a book called "The Dictators" by Jules Archer. Good book by kinda old, in this book Francisco Franco is still alive.

Anyways like i was saying Batisita was a good friend to the USA. All the rich Americans had houses in CUBA then and most of the buisness in CUBA was owned by Amercians. Castro has a lawyer and when Batista took power Castro tried to prosicute him for crimes agasint the country or somthing. (for taking powerand having it be a dictatorship, and selling out the country to he USA) So Castro gained more and more power, and him Che and the rest if his freedom fights (thats what they were) re took the country and gave it back to the people. They also took over all American owned bueisness. Well the USA didnt like that very much. And thats the major reason the USA's realsionship with CUBA has suffered.
