i would like to tell you what is it.since i'm a chinese.your pronounation is ok.the character is 你好吗？ you guys know what ? there is a very popular trem on the China Radio International broadcast,that is ni hao are you! (你好 how are you!). the same meaning but two different languangs which has a similar pronouciation.is it intersting.try to pronunce it .i;m sure you will amaze your friends!

Well going to china 8 times a year I found out alot of mainland Chinese hate the Japanese for what they did to China in WWII.
