Not right?
Goaler27 Goaler27:
The first Problem I had was Morphing the Flag together. Wrong. Of course Fox is hanging the Canadian Flag, they are still trying to recover from the glowing puck fiasco. and still havenÂ’t found a sucker to climb outside to bring the Canadian flag down yet. I am a Very proud Canadian, the Tattoo on my back would prove that.
Major Companies are going to hang the flags if they are even remotely involved with any country. No doubt about it, but leave the flags alone.
I have been thinking though about the green Maple leaf. That would look all right. An alive, growing prosperous county like we are.
Good idea
Who cares, it's just a flag. I bet people wouldn't be complaining so much if it had been any other country other than the US. Why leave the flags alone? I think it's a show of respect for a company to hang the flag in front of it's building.
That's great your a very proud Canadian, but when everyone starts telling people what they should do with their money and how they shouldn't dare put two flags together, the world doesn't become a better place if you ask me.
It's just a flag. Are you people that anal that you would get mad about a stupid flag? I bet you people wouldn't have a problem if it was France's or the U.K.'s flag.
Some people buy porn, and people don't agree with it and look down on those people....do you people want to be the same about a flag? Respect the individuals right to make their own decision.
dude, if your familly had a coat of arms and I pissed on it, would you be mad.
Yes just a flag, but dont mess with it
Anal, No. proud. Hell ya.

Really? How long have you been alive?
Have you actually read anything with a historical that goes back more than 33 years?
Do you have any knowledge whatsoever as to the importance of flags plus the part they have played in battle/history and don't forget this one:

TRADITION
being something those leaning far too the left would have you and yours believe means absolutely nothing as they continue to dismantle

TRADITION
at every opportunity.

Haha, okay, I have no idea what a flag has to do with tradition.
I could care less if someone pissed on a coat of arms of my family, and my family doesn't even have one. I could also care less if someone burns a US or Canadian flag, pisses on the ashes, and does whatever else because it's just fabric. I'm not going to worship some stupid flag and hold it as almighty.

Somewhere there are still peoples and herds, but not where we live, my brothers: here there are states. State? What is that? Well then, open your ears to me, for now I shall speak to you about the death of peoples.
State is the name of the coldest of all cold monsters. Coldly it tells lies too; and this lie crawls out of its mouth: "I, the state, am the people." That is a lie! It was creators who created peoples and hung a faith and a love over them: thus they served life.....
....The state is stupid, your flags are stupid, and all they do is create divisions and make people think they are different from one another.
What are these traditions you speak of? I make my own traditions. Oh you herd animals....
What knowledge is there to have about flags? The fact that one groups of humans goes under a different flag from another, and thus they feel like they are different from the other person, either superior or whatever, and then they partake in war with another people who are under a different flag.
The flag is the symbol of everything that is wrong with humanity. The flag is the symbol of division, of difference. The flag is nothing to talk highly of, but something that should be laughed at and that should not run someones life and make them feel a different way about their life.
Oh you worshippers of flags, do you ever think outside the flag?
Now ya went and pissed me off good johnybeebaad.. "MY" flag means a lot to me.. It represents me, my countyr my heritage, where im from, and if you were ever stupid enough to try to disrespect it in my presense you would be one sorry son of a bitch when I was done with you.... Like karra said it goes to tradition.. a sence of pride... But it looks like you have non of those.. so I only feel sorry for you over that.. Maybe because I served under arms for a number of years iot means more to me than to you..... You dont like it? dont fly it, but dont diss it either my frined..

I have pride in not going with the traditions of the masses. Individualism is what I have pride in. I don't mean to piss anyone off, but I just believe that the world would be better without flags and patriotism and different traditions. Maybe if there wasn't flags and nations, you would never have had to serve in the army. Look at how people at the beginning of this post were knocking other people and had a big problem with the fact that people wanted to put canadian/american flag stickers on their car. I believe in individualism and people being able to do what they want, yet the people here were talking about how terrible it was, and judging these people.
Look at how much you are threatening me just because I don't believe in flags. It really proves my point about how dangerous flags and patriotism are when someone says I would be a sorry son a bitch if I dissed their flag in their presence. You would actually resort to violence just because I have a different viewpoint than you?
How does a maple leaf flag, or a stars and stripes flag represent someone? We all have our own minds, and these flags are just objects of someone elses interpretation on the people who live in a certain land, and considering everyone has different perceptions and different outlooks on life, I don't think you can put everyone under the category of Canadian and put a label of a flag on them just like you would put a label on soup.
Anyways, thanks for proving my point about how dangerous flags are by threatening me with violence if I ever shared my viewpoint in your presence. Free speech has been ripped to shreds.

Just because someone doesn’t by into the whole flag deal doesn’t mean they don’t have a sense of pride. Why does everyone need a need to worship a flag, and when they don’t want to there called unpatriotic. IT’S ONLY A FLAG! A piece of fabric on a stick. And yes I know you will say “It’s more then just a piece of fabric it’s a symbol of my country and who I am”. But how it is that, I mean its just that, a symbol of the country, its not the country, its not who I am, its not anything, just a symbol, just there so people don’t have to read what country your from they can look at a pretty picture instead.
karra @ Wed Mar 17, 2004 6:16 am
In many cases flags represent something. Take a look at the Union Jack - probably the most attractive 'country' flag in the world - the crosses of St. George and Andrew.
Stars and Stripes - colorful - representing the 13 original states and the union. Flags of individual states and provinces have relevance to their own square of land.
Canada - bland (what else would one expect from fiberals)- I prefer the one it replaced - and now the useless government wants to tax the maple syrup producers into oblivion and out of business.
Axly, I feel the same as RH when if come to defacing my flag - it's against the law too not that anyone ever gets charged with it - provides the flatfeet with a way to keep those anarchistic lefty demonstrators in the back of a paddy (Happy St. Patrick's Day) wagon for the duration.
On the other hand, one should always be a little suspicious when the hard left call 'Rally Round the Pole Boys'
Johnnybgoodaaaaa I may have worded my post a little harshly, and i think also it has to do with which era we are from. im close to 50 years old now, and was raised in a different time with different values so to speak. Hey you have every right NOT to like the flag, and say so, you have that right today, but the point I was trying to make was that if you or any one else, were to disrespect the flag, ie throw it to the ground and trod on it or attempt to burn it I would be upset...And yes it could possibly end up in a scuffle..that is my right to be that way, But to say your opinion that you may not like it, is your right.. a right that you have thanks to , maybe not so much myself, but my father, and my uncle who died during a conflict, and the many others who came before us. You see you were given that right, to not like or like what ever you want..Thats where my feelings about my flag come from. iots a personle thing friend, I dont think any less of you for your opinion and you should know that youve been here long enough to see what my thoughts on that are..
karra I know what you are talking about also with the rally ;round tha flag boys comment... Some times patriotism is used againts us, or should I say is used as a weapon to stir the masses into a frenzyu all the while the masses are not so sure WHY they are looking for the flag pole...
But also may I point out that in my posts, I didnt haver to resort to any name calling, or flaming of any one becasue thier opinion was differewnt from mine??? just somthing I wanted to point out ..LOL
karra @ Wed Mar 17, 2004 6:56 am
RH - I try really hard not to resort to name calling and in fact if you examine my posts you'll quickly observe that I've never (I think) instigated a bout of name calling.
Now I can watch the hard left rally 'round the pole.

Yea RIGHT! You prefer the Union Jack, list The Devil Went Down to Georgia as your favorite piece of music, and on more than one occasion have told
other members to keep their
necks out of the sun? You don't drive a 78 ford pickup with a gunrack in the back window, do ya? (Q 'dualing banjos from deliverance)
