Should Canada join the United States?

So the U.S. can buy us.

And BQ and WBP are just movements. Movement's that are dying. You think the USA would be able to deal with them? Just by telling them to sit down and shut up? You know why we don't do that? Because we don't like civil war.
If this country become an American state, it will probably be the first time that Proud Canadians and Separatists ever work together. For the sake of independence from the USA.
For what it's worth, there is no significant interest in the North American Union in the United States. Several Republican Congressmen have sponsored resolutions opposing this in spite of the fact that there has been no serious discussion of even attempting to implement anything like this at any level of government. Anyone who thinks the United States would sign up to supranational organization analogous to the EU greatly underestimates American paranoia about perceived "socialists" taking over our country. It's kind of ironic that Canadians are worried about "corporate" America taking over Canada while Americans don't want "socialist" Canada undermining American values - both in opposition to the same proposal that actually has no chance of being implemented! It's even stupider than two bald men fighting over a comb.
Anyone who seriously promotes union or separation needs to be regarded as traitors and dealt with, on or off the record, take your pick. I'll be happy to put my foot in your ass personally.

Of course not.
You're such a shit disturber, tritty.

You're such a Liberal/Commie.

It's Obvious that you and Mr Canada will come here and trash the idea. But seriously think about it.
You're just afraid of not having socialized medicine and the gov't taking care of you.
I did think about it. That's why I rejected it.
It completely and abruptly undermines Canadian sovereignty and puts us at EASY risk for the simple scraping of "Canada".
Fuck assimilation. Fuck annexation. Fuck treaties. Fuck unions. FUCK THE NAU.
ya know what, C ? im getting tired of all the profanity you use in your posts.
i was pretty sure the last time you were allowed back in, it was on the
condition u clean yourself up.. a lot.
well, frankly, im not seeing it these days, and im not in the mood
to read much more of it.
in case no one has told you, NO ONE will tale you seriously because
you know how to type all the bad words.. in fact, the opposite is true.

American Corporations are IN LOVE with the idea.
Evidence?

To late, who is out biggest trading partner? Oil, Beef, Lumber, Wheat.
If they decide to cut the umbilical cord, Canada would cease to exist as a nation.

http://www.spp.govhttp://www.spp-psp.gc.caYup, the Government has not given it a thought.
Are still pushing this tripe? Jesus, let it go already. Nobody wants it except you...

I would be fine with the NAU. But guys, please don't take offense to this, I think it would be cool for something to happen like the EU.

I personally suggest we take them all out back and slit their throats.
I personally suggest we ban you from Greyhound busses. For life.
Why would Canadians, after tightening their belts andy paying down Canadian debt for over a decade, be interested in starting over with a huge American debt and deficit spending??

I suppose you've never heard of NAFTA.
That's not evidence of support for something as drastic as a North American Union. Keep in mind that it's
Republicans who are making the loudest noises against it.

Considering that video games and skateboarding appear to be the only skills your generation is capable of I somehow find the idea of you and your other emo kid buddies manning the barricades to be particularly laughable.
