I read this nice statement on this site in on of the forum areas that was entitled to americans and the post sounded friendly, but it was just anti-americanism as usual, cutting down americans are being ignorant.

"58% of the Americans tested knew in which country the Taliban and Al-Queda are based. Once again, of the 9 countries, Americans scored the lowest. What does that say to you?"

What this line says to me is that around 150 million Americans know where the countries which al-queda and the taliban are based, while somewhere around 30 million or less people in Canada know where they are. I have pride in my country, but I just can't stand how judgemental and arrogant my fellow country men are. It's like you compare our country to the US, which has 300 million people, and the US gets a different statistic that is worse than ours, and suddenly we are all better than every American. If 58% of Americans know where the Taliban and Al-queda is based, then that is still some millions more than Canada. You also have to factor in that some people just don't care about geography. Does a farmer or a factory worker need to know where every place in the world is? Get 300 million people together anywhere on the world, and you are going to have alot of idiots. Anyways, all this has been talked about before here, but really, when are you Canadians going to stop being so judgemental and harsh to Americans? Because a country of 300 million people doesn't get the highest test scores in the world is no right to hate, and it also doesn't mean that there aren't really bright people in that country which would put my fellow countrymens arrogance in their place.

When measuring things in disparate populations percentages or per capita measurements are used so that you aren't comparing apples and oranges.

Quite the demonstration of grammar and math skills! Good show Johnny, you are doing your country proud. You now need only to clarify which country you belong too...
