What makes a good Canadian?
has flyman become an unofficial canadian yet?

Kinda what I expected. There are a few people out there who still equate proud Canadian= anti-American. I never said you had to be hard core, rah-rah pro-US, but a number of people here are basing their being proud with their level of anti-US behaviour.
Are the Americans perfect?, not by a long shot. But I'd still rather have them as my neighbour than someone like the USSR at their prime because today all you hard leaning left wingers would be happy drinking vodka and becoming another state for mother Russia!
But I must go now as I have more important things to do then to try and educate the masses about the error of their ways!
Well unfortunatly not a lot of Americans who come onto this board, except for Flyman, seem to want to do that.
Most of the ones who come here are just shit disturbers.I think the internet gives people a sense of anonimity and some of them come here to wind others up. I live near the border in Ontario and I've known loads of Americans. Sure sometimes you meet the typical US jackpole but I still know more Canadian assholes than I do Americans. For that matter I've seen a few here!LOL Most of the Yanks I have met or know personally are real cool folks. I have met complete strangers in the US who didn't know me from Adam and they still invited me into their home and treated me like a guest, the whole nine yards.

I'd be wary of accepting those invitations in some regions of West Virginia and Louisiana.

Ok but .... what do they mean when they say good old ``southern hospitality`` then ?

Don't get me wrong- for the most part the southern states are full of southern hospitality...however, the Louisiana bayou's are full of some interesting folk as are the regions of Appalachia in West Virginia. I guess every place has its weirdos- those are just some stereotypical ones in the US.

Nope, I believe you just did. And besides, how is that off topic, its an opinion of the fact.

That is kind of ignorant dont you think? Judging regions is a generalization I would stay away from.
Haha, yeah, better stay away from the non-PC jokes, TheUSofA1776.
