Once again, reports are "leaking" out, that another pressing environmental concern is going un-noticed by the White House.
There are NO reported plans to deal with this issue, though it affects every person on the planet.
Pockets of this material cross the border un-checked into Canada on a DAILY basis, with profound effects! Apparently, any attempts to bring it up with this Administration are being flushed away.
I know he is busy with the War and all, but why is there NO recognition of the importance of this issue?
Dihydrogen Monoxide
Dihydrogen Monoxide. Two Hydrogens, one oxygen. The chemical name for this would be .... H2O?
The silent killer? What, like in floods? I didn't read the whole page, but something is goofy...
No Robair; DIHYDROGEN not hydrogen. This is what has happened to a pond that used to be a great fishing hole with lots of lifeforms but now is only a pond of dead stagnet water where nothing lives.Turned into a breeding ground for the almighty mosqueto. That's just one of the bad things that dihydrogen brings
Well, when I went to highschool...
dihydrogen = two 2 (di) hydrogen molecules
monoxide = one 1 (mono) oxygen molecule
sooooo
dihydrogen monoxide would = water (H2O)
I think non-rev is yanking yer chain...
Thank god for www.snopes.com.

Robair; When you went to school they taught you right.I stand corrected.I was probably absent that day again.
Twila; Thanks for the info
The oil-fueled Bush government doesn't care about the environment. The US didn't sign the Kyoto Agreement to cut down Carbon Dioxide emissions. Carbon Dioxide is a major polluter and the US, the world's largest Carbon Dioxide emitter, has refused to cut down on it. That tells you something about America's unconcern for the environment. Bush also wants to drill for oil in Alaska, destroying the natural habitat of many wild animals and desrupting the route of the migrating caribou. Bush isn't concerned about all that. He's only concerned about money.
Bush's environmental record is a bad joke. His reign as governor of Texas made it the state with the laxest rules on pollution. He's been systematically doing the same to the rest of the country since he became president.
I know the dihydrogen monoxide thing is supposed to be a joke. Here in Manitoba the humour has gone out of it though. North Dakota is planning to divert water from Devil's Lake into the Red River. Bush has given the go-ahead for the Army Corps of Engineers to assist the state with the project. Devil's Lake contains water of an extremly different PH balance as well aquatic life not present in the Red River. Such a diversion could very well lead to environmental disaster.
