why are americans so full of themselves? i chat on seveal american forums and when it comes to there country it's like talking to a brick wall. they think of us as socialist liberal pussys, but when you bring up how the canadian forces took more ground in ww1 and ww2 then the americans they stick there fingers in there ears.

america puts dictatorships in power then complain when there the subject of terrorist attacks from the people who are being brutalized by that same dictatorship.

...you find Canadians full of THEMselves, sticking fingers in THEIR ears when it comes to discussing anything positive that the US has done in the world.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...hehe.

Well, um, that's probably because it is their country. As a general rule, the people who live in the country know what's best for it. I've been to American forums too, and I can say that we Canadians speak just a authoritarily and confidently when it comes to issues affecting our country because, quite naturally, we think we know what's best for our own home, just as Americans do.

[going off on a tangent]

We don't usually take well to Americans telling us how to run our country, and vice-versa. Just because we're Canada doesn't mean we automatically get a say in what the United States does after all. Canada has some international influence, but we don't have enough to really influence any country to bend over backwards for us.

Normally I, the forum let quite a bit go and dont say much. But seeing what is happening around the world right now, and seeing that this is a PRO CANADA site and not anti anything... I am going to curtail some of the American bashing here. I think that now, we should show some solidarity with our friend and neighbour, and not harange them any more than need be. I think most of our members here will agree with me. With the situation over in Iraq, and the number of casualties they are experiencing we need to be suppotive now. So with that I am going to lock this thread and start watching more closely what's being posted. We do have many American members here who we have gotten to know and like, and I wouldnt want to lose them over a few dumb posts here. I know you are gonna start screaming freedom of speech... ya, ya well Im excersising my freedom to moderate during these difficult times. I hope you all understand, and if you so wish you may PM Trev (CANADAKA) the site admin and ask him, but im sure he will agree with me on this. Thanks to all for your understanding.. RH
