I'll tell you why my wife and I did - money, pure and simple. We're both Health care workers and we were recruited to come to North Carolina....we thought it would be nice to have a mild winter and experience living in the U.S. - the hospital that wanted us paid our relocation costs, and gave us both big fat sign on bonuses.
Also when we first arrived the Canadian dollar was weaker so every dollar we sent home gave us $1.65. The cost of living IS much lower down here (cause we have to pay for health insurance) so living in the U.S. is a great way to save a bunch of money fast.
I won't get into all of the reasons why we're going back home next month - but suffice it to say money and mild weather is not worth us staying.
Enlighten us all U.S., are you trying to be sarcastic, or do you merely have poor grammar?
He sounds like a 12 year old. US, you're name isn't James by any chance is it?
