Time magazine reportedly chooses it's man of the year-and sometimes even objects,(the computer in 1982),based on how much they are in the news that particular year.Also consideration is given to how much they affect the larger world and their influences-good or bad.Stalin was named a couple of times,as well as a few others that aren't exactly considered to be good men.
Having said that,I vote Bush as asshole of the year.If it were physically possible,I'd love to see someone pick Osama up by the ankles,and beat Bush on the head with him;thereby getting rid of two major fundamentalist assholes at one time.

Someones opinion doesn't jive with yours then debate and not ban.
Free dominion and free republic ban you for not towing the party line.
That's not free debate but outright banning someone for their opinion.
Might be all fine and dandy in the US but I hate to see a good Canadian site useing those tactics.
