I now have the first steps in place to offer members who have donated the option to be a GOLD MEMBER. Which means that when they view Canadaka.net there is no google adds on the side or bottom, no canadaka.net adds at the top of the site, and a minimal amount of blocks are on the frontpage. So this all means the site will load faster for them.

The minimum donation is $15 to become a gold member.

I now need to make it so there is a gold star or something besides gold members name.

   

Would it be a monthly, yearly, or one time fee?

   

yearly, I also hope to add more Gold Member only things.

right now there is no areas of the site that only gold members can see.
there is some parts that you do have to be a member to see though.

Yeah! "CKA Gold"... it sounds pretty good, like a fancy credit card or something....

Anyhow, for $15 per year I would definitely want to be a member.

made some progress, now a gold maple leaf is show beside Gold Members username in the forum topics and the online user list on the frontpage.

   

So can us "GOLD MEMBERS" go places the [raises nose in air like a snob] 'others' can't go? I noticed the lack on ads on the page being a gold member.
