Making this new thread so I can announce when I add new designs to the CKA Canadian Clothing store

Went through a big update today, added a bunch of new designs, fixed some bugs and added large picture previres of most of the designs. When you click to view a design, it is displayed in the top left. If you click that image it will show a large detailed picture of the design. I did this because some designs had small text and such that you couldn't make out to well with the small preview pictures.

SO here are the new designs added today:

I finally got around to adding more designs to the CKA shop, they have been sitting waitinf for some time. It takes hours to add one design on all the shirt types and colours. So for most of the new designs I just added the basic T-shirt for now. i will add more clothing types when I get time.

If you want one of the new designs on another clothing type, just email or PM me and I cal add it.

Also you will see this image on the shop now, if you email me I can make any combination of shirt for you, one design on the front, another on the back. Or add some custom text to a shirt. Or maby you want a certain design in different colours? pinks and purples?

Here are the new designs

well I got an email from National Defence Headquarters, I have to remove the "JTF2" shirts.

I did not realize the use of that acronym was protected, you always see those "FBI" or "SWAT" t-shirts, I just wanted to create a Canadian version. I didn't think an acronym like that could be copyrighted, the shirt does not say "Join Task Force 2". You see "JTF2" around in many places, like gaming clans, does that mean that use is illegal as well?

Kinda funny the people I have sold the shirt to have been military people and a 20 shirt order from a military contractor in Ontario.

So if you want one, you will have to order it tonight. :(

Gaming clans don't use it to make money. I could put you in touch with someone in Ottawa (via email if you like) to talk about all this good stuff. She has done government copyright work in the past.

possibly, but for now i will remove them, dont want to get in trouble. It did say with permission from the minister one can use it.

I'll PM you. Also, I'll like to get hooked up with one of the items from the line, just in case ;)

You should make Fan Shirts for the NHL Teams....

Or are those symbols protected too?

Fucking copyrights....

EDIT: Yep. Logo's are copyright.

I hate companies...

Canadaka @ Tue Nov 21, 2006 2:35 am

well NHL logos are obviously copyright protected, i would not do that. But these JTF2 shirts dont use the JTF2 logo nor do they actualy say "Join Task Force 2" on them.

Yeah, Acronyms should never be copyight.

It's just silly.

Well, I'd start buying up any Canadian Forces related stuff while you still can.
