Well you could have easily started your own poll but mine proved my point.
i now see why you are so intense. you seem to think that every point or question that is directed towards you is designed to disprove or challenge your assertions.

In addition my questions weren't pejorative in nature. I'm not letting my beliefs sway my opinion. Its not that you think people aren't using them without ill affect its that you need to believe it. I've met the same thing among religious people who simply don't want to accept that Atheists can lead perfectly happy lives not believing in any god.
Even if I included your poll questions it would only expand the no and a few times side into smaller categories but that only provides a better window into why people choose not to indulge further.
You called into question my statement that well over half of CKA had smoked a fair amount at least at one point in their life. I simply sought to prove my point as well as differentiate between those that used to smoke and those that still do. The reasons why people choose not to indulge are irrelevant since they already put themselves into a proper category.
You seem to be trying very very hard to show that lots of people don't like pot but so what. Lots of people don't like tobacco and alcohol. Lots of people do like pot and those people are fully functioning adults in society which is the point.
If you want to find out all the reasons people choose to indulge or not (and many posts here do that already) then feel free to start a poll that answers what questions you want.
Might I also remind you that you can edit your post to correct any spelling errors you have made.
ROFTL
you seem to read alot into a 14 word question about balancing your poll choices.
Pot is nothing more then an immature means of people trying to cure boredom when they are still young.
It shouldn't be legalized because most adults realize what a total stupid waste of time it is. It would just give all those lazy drunks out there something else to do.
We all do stupid things in our youth and then we move on. Let's not prove Canada is as immature as a teenager.
What about booze ?
Some people don't like booze. I dont have to pull out the stats on the damage that booze does do I ? If you dont smoke fine, but there are tons of productive taxpaying, mature, have found there way in life, pot smokers out there.
Dont base your opinion on old reefer madness sterotypes.
If your a fan of music, you better throw out 90% of your collection. Most of them all lazy potheads.
I think legalizing booze was a bad idea too. Either your mature enough to be able to live without needing to get all boozed up or drugged up or you are not.
As I said before MOST adults realize what a waste of time it is. Some lead double lives where they switch between two sets of behavior as well.
I think most people are smart enough when they grow up to know why it's kept illegal. Personally if it was EVER going to be legal I don't think the government should touch it with a 10 foot pole or just like cigarettes if we find out it's super bad for us 20 years from now we'll never be rid of the stuff.

Or 20 years down the line we realize how beneficial it is and how much it can actually cure. And then we think to ourselves "if only this were legal 30, 40, or even 50 years ago....". I think the problem is that to many people are scared of it. They have this thought in the back of there mind placed there from other people telling them that it is bad. No matter how many arguments you come up with to say that it is a positive drug they will instantly reject it. I think once this generation of youth becomes older and starts running the world, a lot will change

and I think your own age is showing. You'll understand what the rest of us are talking about when you get older. There are medical uses for pot but that's already covered here in Canada. Your doctor CAN already prescribe you pot if they choose.
Your argument is a non issue. It's already very possible and no further action is needed.
i now see why you are so intense. you seem to think that every point or question that is directed towards you is designed to disprove or challenge your assertions.
So far Its looking like well over half of CKA has smoked a substantial amount of ganja at least at one point in their life.
ASLplease ASLplease:
you don't know that. why dont you start a poll?
As requested I started this poll but you took exception to my poll choices here, and here.
In the context of the original statement and poll question my poll was balanced. Your question suggestions were more to determine why people had decided not to smoke pot but that was irrelevant in the terms of the polls intent right. In fact the reason it wasn't just a straight "tried pot? yes/no" poll is because I knew you would have taken exception to the fact that "tried it" encompassed everybody from the guy who took a few tokes to the guys who still smoke quite a bit.
Its not animosity towards you, I'm just answering your concerns about the poll.
I think it would ok for you to relax a little bit more, Derby
I had moved on to a secondary point on how to make a poll more balance. I didn't say that I disagreed with your results. The results are what they are.
