Well, about 1/2 hour after posting that from my new machine, I was back to a banned state.

I've been thinking about switching to linux for a long time. I have to rebuild my computer every year. I was wondering if I can put my microsoft office and messenger with Mandriva Linux 2007. And what about gaming... will I have issues?? One more thing -> is there a Web Browser available with linux, and if I don't like it, can I install Firefox??

thats weird.

Your problem is either OS related or it is The CKA site that has a problem with you (Nothing personal I guess  )

If you have the time use the link I have posted above and burn the Live CD. And try to Log to the CKA web site from the live CD. If it work then Vista is to blame if not then it is CKA.

Good luck

Good for you but it's not on topic.

I can't see how vista can be to blame because many here have switched and it's compatable. My ISP is the same, and here I'm logged in on at totally different system without problems.
And I was running last night for 1/2 hour or so..

Mario I'm running Firefox right now and I'm using mozilla-tunderbird for my email with the 3d desktop 8)

The only thing you can't do with Mandriva is play some of the newest game. For the rest you can use Kopete for your instant messaging (Kopete is compatible with ALL messaging service even AOL and IRC) All Id software game have a linux port. I do my peer to peer with Amule and Frostwire (clone of limewire). And for my Office work I use Open office which is included with mandriva. Open office is a complete replacement for all the MS office and it 100% compatible with all windows office format.

I can say that I'm not missig win XP to much. No more spyware, Malware, Tuppeware ,Virus, Registry cleanup, Virus, And DLL hell.

I have posted a small quick start guide for mandriva here If you have any question you can PM me.
