Well the results are in again for 2005.

Primarily Undergraduate:
1 St. Francis Xavier
2 Mount Allison
3 Acadia
4 UNBC
5 Bishop’s
6 St. Thomas
7 Saint Mary's
8 UPEI
8 Trent
10 Wilfrid Laurier

I'll point out, specifically for those who like to assume that Atlantic Canada is good for nothing, that we hold the top three places in undergraduate rankings, and six out of the top ten.

True enough, though undergrad universities are most relevant to most people.

Where is McGill? [bonk]

It's not primarily undergraduate, thus it is in a different categories. I have a feeling tho' if we posted the full of macleans rankings here they might get a little angry

The three categories are posted... since undergraduate is the most relevant to most people, and gets the most attention in these rankings, I posted them only. DerbyX supplied the others, and it's obvious we're not as exceptional in those other rankings.

Macleans rankings are always a controversy. I remember back when I was in Uni the comments about how they did them and how they were all wrong was a widely held position and I went to Waterloo which scores very high each year. Its all very relative and no-one wants to see their university score low.

Blue_Nose @ Mon Nov 07, 2005 1:28 pm

It's all about values; how each university decides to place its emphasis is different. Obviously some of these values are not going to correspond with those of MacLean's.

Completely depends on the degree you wish to obtain as well... Every school has their strengths.

Wasn't the University of Lethbridge among the top 10 for undergraduates? I attended there before I transferred.

Scape @ Mon Nov 07, 2005 1:33 pm

Good to see UVIC up there as well as UBC and SFU. Too bad Royal Roads isn't on there.

Alas, how we forget. Wasn't it only last year that Macleans gave high marks to a Uni Medical program that didn't exist?

Scape @ Mon Nov 07, 2005 2:02 pm

But the administration costs were a major plus!
