Regardless if The CN Tower is THE tallest free standing structure or ONE OF the world's tallest free standing structures, i am proud of it.

   

The CN Tower is actually the 3rd tallest freestanding structure in the World behind Burj Khalifa (2717 ft) and Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower (2001 ft)

   

Taipei and Dubai is everyone else? Well hell, I guess you'd like to live in a communist state(Taipei) or how about a muslim state?(Dubai)

Yep by ALL means let's spend money on a nice tall building so we can proudly say, "Look at what we built at the expense of the poor, our infrastructure, our military, and our social programs."

Taipei is in Taiwan. Last time I checked, Taiwan wasn't communist and even if it was, why should that matter Mr McCarthy, do tell.They want to make their country 'beautiful', 'recognized'. Whether they are communist or a Muslim state is irrelevant. I'm merely saying Canada should do the same instead of falling behind.

We can spend billions on health-care like we do now but people like Danny Williams will always choose the best health-care which isn't in Canada apparently so if were going to waste money, waste it on something else. It's all a matter of opinion on which we spend all this seeming wealth in Canada but its the government that spends the dough.

Ok then, next time you need medical care, I'll be fully expecting you to pay for it out of pocket. Wouldn't want you "wasting" tax dollars on something useless like emergency surgery or setting a broken bone or something equally wasteful.
Maybe you can get Danny to tell you where he went for surgery so you can go there if you ever need any.

What do you want? How will the Canadian flag or National Anthem be offensive to anyone living in Canada and for that matter that person if he found the 2 mentioned above offensive would not be in the country in the first place.

I'll tell ya what. Theres much more Nationalism in Canada than any other place I have visited. Especially much more than my country.

I don't know what this insecurity is. You're okay for godsake. Go to another 3rd world country and you'll know what a piece of shit government they have and what trivial things they fight over. You have everything you need and if there are immigrants coming in... well the 2nd and in all cases the 3rd and 4th generation are as purely Canadian as anyone else.

There is already a fight over the anthem because it contains a verse intoning God: "...God keep our land, glorious and free..."

Could we take all of those people who find this offensive and send them to your country for a bit?

   

I'm going to have to go with the nay-sayers on this one: much as I love the CN Tower, it kind of is just a big phallic symbol...let those guys in Dubai have it, we've got enough other cool stuff to go with!
