So what? So the liberals kept us out of the poor house. Does this justify letting them have carte blanche to destroy our country. They have made so many other mistakes, just balancing the budget doesn't make them a good government. This is an interesting article. Quebec losing interest in independence. The conservatives haven't even been sworn in yet and there allready taking the steam out of the seperatists. How about that liberals?

   

Quebec seperatism is not much different then those polls predicting a CPC large majority. They often simply reflect anger and hasty thoughts. It peaked in 95 but waned under Liberal gov'ts as well until all the new corruptions surfaced.

And yes balancing the budget and saving us from bankruptcy deserves far more credit then most of the ungreatful hypocritical cons.

   

Maybe when the Cons realize how hard it is to balance a federal budget of $160 or so billion and try and please everyone they'll be a bit more grateful.

   

With Enron accounting like Martin used anyone can balance the budget.

   

Yup, easy to balance a budget when transfer payments are slashed in half. . . .

   

Unlike Dubya who uses no accounting. We can spend as much as we like because we'll be dead before the promissory notes come due! Let our grandchildren and great-grandchildren deal with it!
