Lets try something new shall we?? How about a pro Canada thread for a change??? (lol) Id like for our members to post about a trip some where in Canada that was especially great for them, and tell us what your idea of Canada's most beautiful place is, or a place you had been to that you thought was a bit nicer than most... Im gonna have a hard tinme with this, as I drove all over Canada for many years as a long haul trucker, so i've seen pretty well ALL of the country.. But for others here who havent traveled as much as I, tell us a little story about a trip and why you think that place was the best part of Canada...

I haven't had the opportunity to make it to 'Da Rock" yet AdamNF, but it is high up on my priority list of places to see. This is a tough one, RH - where to begin?

Being from Ontario, I absolutely love Algonquin Park! I take the family up there to camp every year and have been on a few trips into the interior by canoe with friends. There is a serene beauty there of which I will never grow tired. Been to Banff, which is a great place surrounded by mountains. The Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec is well worth a visit, as is PEI. Vancouver Island is another place that I could return to over and over. The drive along the Trans-Canada in New Brunswick following the St John is great as is the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia.

It might actually be easier to come up with places that aren't worthwhile in Canada. Haven't been to Manitoba since I was a kid, so I don't remember too much of it. I also haven't made it to Saskatchewan, so if anybody has suggestions of where to visit in either province, it would be much appreciated!
:D

There are too many places to pick any one favourite. My own backyard when the lilacs are in bloom is something. The Touchwood Hills in Saskatchewan are a very special place. The Badland in Saskatchewan and Alberta are fantasic. The northern parts of all three prairie provinces are cool.I can't say that I really have a favourite...it depends on my mood and the season.

For me, my top pick would have to be Victoria, my second pick would have to be a place called Emerson Lakes ( northern Alberta).

I've seen a lot of this country and there's a lot for me to see.

My favourite spot is Lake O'Hara in Yoho National Park (in the Rockies). Sorry that I don't have any photos available to share.

I posted a large pic of this area in the pictures section so I won't again. I think we'll mostly find our favourite places are tied to memories of our favourite people. Hi Norma, wherever you are.

i came from a family that didn't travel hardly at all so my knowledge first hand of canada is of the west. i have never been east of swift current, and from what i've seen of saskatchewan it is pretty boring to look at. i have been a few places in alberta, my favourite would have to be waterton park, beautiful country down there. second would have to be castle mountain ski resort as well as k-country a little farther north of there. the rest of alberta is as boring as saskatchewan. when i was younger i went to vernon every summer for cadet camp, so i have come to love the okanagan valley, although i am sure there is an ozone hole there because i would come home with the worst farmer's tan you ever seen! i was darker than some of the black ppl i know here (lol)

also, in hte interior i also love the fernie area.

i went to the coast once when i was 12 (sooo long ago! lol) and i remember going to the beach in cancouver in some park near teh lions gate bridge (don't remember the name of the park) and we went thru china town and gas town in north van i think.

anyway, that's all i think......oh, another pretty place in BC is the far north part, like near Fort St. John area. that was a cool place...

The few times I manage to return for a visit I don't get out of Saskachewan very much. But the most beautiful place for me is the fields between Saskatoon and the Battlefords.Yes I know it's flat and boring but it's so different than what I see here everyday.

Mine would be Osoyoos, BC. I spent many youthful summers there on my gradparents fruit orchard.

:D Hi guys I am back sorta like a wort . Anyways as some of you know I am a carny and drive BC from march to sept. And I think the prettiest place is where we are right Now creston BC. I love the valley and of course the Brewery. The people are friendly and always say hi or give you a smile something that is really lacking in some towns.
well they are closing the place gotta go have a good one guys.

Kimberley is probably the most beautiful place I have been. Kimberley is a small resort town in southern BC. Its quite small so there is pretty much no crime. Kimberley is very sunny, and the golf courses are beautiful (but expensive :( ). They have a beautiful five star hotel that is just amazing. Polite people, beautiful scenery, and an awesome beerfest in July . If you are ever in southern BC, I suggest you check it out.

My wife just loves Victoria...
Personally I prefer Old Quebec in Quebec City. Lunenburg is a close second.
