Thanks for the heads up.

@EB: It already is. I get it in HD through the sat.

Mmm, my frigging cable company just has it in fuzzy crappy analog.

I get HT HD too through my dish.
The show follows A Company of the Regina Rifles who penetrated farther inland on D-Day than all other unit in the whole invasion force ......... and were promptly attacked by the 12th SS for the next few days until 12th SS were defeated.

Nice, I can't wait.

History Television may not be the greatest history network on TV, but they always devote plenty of time for Remembrance Day every year, and for that they deserve a R=UP.

Sadly......very true!

I usually watch the Military Channel as there isn't that much of interest on History these days. I'm very interested in this show though.

I quite agree, and although it's a US based channel it has very good historical programming. They've run, and still are running the 'World at War" series which is fantastic.

I'll be watching this for sure. Already sent the warnings out to friends and family not to bother calling or knocking on the door as I won't be answering anything that day.

And World at War IS a fantastic series. It's the series that really was the catalyst for my interest and study of WW2

World at war is amazing. They should put that out in blu-ray. It's been great to watch it again in the Military Channel. I was watching it the other night and they were interviewing Adolf Galland on the Luftwaffe and the Blitz. It's amazing that they got the actual people on the show. Priceless stuff.

If you liked that one, EB, you should check out "The Century of Warfare"...a 7-disc package from the History Channel. If you can get past the uptight English wanker that narrates, the programs are stunning.

I actually got to meet General Galland. Unfortunately I was still a little too young to fully appreciate who he was.

Really? Wow, that is pretty amazing. I had to admire him even though he was part of the machine that was trying to enslave my family. He was a great pilot and a great leader.

And he was a gentleman. I've heard more than one story about Allied pilots shot down in his sector that were brought to his chateau. Instead of grilling them(they'd get plenty of that later on from others) he'd sit down with them with a nice bottle of wine or cognac and talk about flying. Just two pilots talking about what they love.

I really hope someone torrents this. Trailer looks awesome. Unfourtunaltey I'm pretty sure the History channel here and the Military Channel will not be showing it. Fingers crossed though, but since Passchendaele never made it south of the border I'm not going to hold my breath.

World at War and Century of Warfare are both excellent.
