It used to be city of the newly wed and the nearly dead, or where old people go to visit their grandparents

Well according to Jaime's link that's one of Surrey's nicknames. Seems a little harsh to me; I was wondering if there was a specific story or incident that got some people to calling Surrey the Gaza Strip.

Anyhow, City of Parks sounds a whole lot nicer, eh?
:)

according to that site:

Toronto, Ontario :
Hogtown
Muddy York
Queen City
T.O.
Toronto the Good
T-Dot
Trawna, Tronno, or Trahna -- based upon the local pronunciation of Toronto

but they forgot "muder capitol Canada" lol and "smog city"

all in good fun tho, cause i love living here
