What puts the star on your Christmas tree?

ShepherdsDog, get me the phone number of the second girl from the left, top row.

Hyack Hyack:

Sir Grinch.
Speaking of stars on trees (sorta...), I'm looking for suggestions for rigging up a goal light for our hockey tree. We had a complete Oil/'Nuck/Storm tree last year, and it was 100% hockey except for...the star. I've been keeping an eye out all year, but have yet to come up with anything that looks like it would work. I can use the wiring from the star, of course, just looking for a way to construct a goal light.
Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!

Not quite understanding what you mean by 'goal light', Rosie, so I'll give it a go anyway.
Dollar Store-plastic puck with your team logo-drill it, wire some lights into it;
Using wire coat hanger- shape it into the frame of a miniature goal net-wrap it with netting from an old fish net, runn mini lights as required.
Never done either of these before so I'm just guessing! ![Drink up [B-o]](./images/smilies/drinkup.gif)

You know. The big red one that lights up when a team scores.

I just need the red part though.
The net isn't a bad idea either though..
Decisions, decisions.....

Hmmm...wonder if an automotive store would have some sort of light cover that could be rigged?

I'm pretty darn sure you'll find something that will work at Princess Auto.

Holy shit! I saw that vibrating and flashing gizmo in the context of all the things that give joy on this thread and thought...

QBC, you need to spend some time at home.

I was wondering too what the business end of that thing is.

I think that's the ONLY place I haven't looked! I usually just head straight to the grinder/sausage suffer/meat mixer aisle, and drool til Q finds me and drags me out.

I'll definitely check them out! Thanks, Yog!!

Ain't touchin' none of the rest of what's goin' on here... That's between them and the big guy.

And I'll never tell, anyway.

Something like this might work, and you may be able to get it at a party supply store:
