Jabberwalker Jabberwalker:
The idea of Denmark and Canada going to war, over Hans island or anything else, is so far fetched that I've never really thought deeply on who I would choose.

I you did so, I would worry about your general sanity.

It's a thought experiment. No war required. Where does you loyalty lay?

Jabberwalker @ Sun Feb 01, 2015 8:04 pm

My loyalty lies here along with nine generations of my kinfolk.

I have dual Canadian/British citizenship.
I never renewed my British passport, just use my Canadian one when I go visit.
Feel more at home in Canada than Britain.

I am firmly Danish-Canadian.

Meaning you're neither firmly Danish or firmly Canadian.

Not a criticism, mind you, just an observation. PDT_Armataz_01_06

I love Denmark, but Canada is home.

Maybe, if you moved to a nicer part of Canada, ...

I would agree not firmly Danish. I mostly see the danish as a qualifier or descriptor on the Canadian.

Do you consider Irish-Americans in boston to be any less american for the fact that they hyphenate?

Pretty happy with my little corner actually.

Jabberwalker @ Mon Feb 02, 2015 4:40 pm

Maybe you would learn to love another corner.

I'm sure i could. It should be pointed out though, saying I'm "pretty happy" with my corner is my understated Danish way of saying I love it.
