I came to this forum, and I posted something, because I thought that it's a respected forum with respectful members! I am very sorry that I was wrong.
If things in Syria weren't bad, trust me, I would be the first to advise my uncle to stay away from this country, because it's full of racist people.
and one of you said that we are abusing the country's system, if that was so, why does the "system" accept immigrants to enter the country? you think that when people flee their country and ask for protection from a different country they are lying???? Well, then I would love to see you guys go to visit Syria during this mess! so you can proof that we are abusing the system by asking for Canada's protection.

Give your head a shake. You come on here and basically tell us you want this country to take in a relative of yours just because his country is in turmoil, yet you spend your time bad mouthing the country and the people who live here.
We want immigrants, we don't want cue jumpers, we don't want leeches on society, we don't want part time Canadians, we do want people who will contribute to our country, so yeah if that's racist then mark me down as the biggest one in Canada.
If I may be so bold as to hypothesise that the only reason you want you uncle brought to Canada is so he can get a Canadian Citizenship and return to Syria when it calms down. Then if it gets hot again he can start screaming that the Canadian Government isn't doing enough to protect him and demand we evacuate him and bring him "home" all things we've seen from that part of the world before.
Sorry but if you take offense when you ask questions that shouldn't be asked in a place where they shouldn't be asked then expect the responses you get.

you guys didn't respect my question, nor me. that's why I got pissed off. I'm not saying canada sucks, i'm saying there are many people who judge you based on your nationality or religion, they don't even know what kind of person you are. that's not fair.
I'm proud that I'm Syrian, and very proud that I'm Canadian. otherwise I wouldn't stay here, even if I have to go to syria and die there. I'm happy being here, and I'm not saying anything against anyone, or agaist the country.
All I'm asking for is some respect. If I asked the wrong question, then I'm sorry, but you could've said that in a nicer way!
I don't want my uncle to come here and leave when things calm down in Syria. I want him to stay, and he wants to stay too. but I said that even if the country accepts him just as a visitor, than that's fine too. Didn't mean to misuse the system.
anyways, i apologize for posting my questions here. I certainly came to the wrong forum.

I am moved to make one more suggestion, why, I do not know, because it cannot possibly profit me. Have you heard about Senor Ugarte and the letters of transit?...Those letters were not found on Ugarte when they arrested him...I'd venture to guess that Ugarte left those letters with Monsieur Rick...He's a difficult customer, that Rick. One never knows what he'll do or why, but it is worth a chance.

I'd recommend pausing two three here. A bit of a ham handed approach by you has brought out the ham handed responses in some.
Start afresh and see what happens.

I'm seriously wondering why the hell the Uncle went to Sudan to work. That place is as messed up as Syria. The best answer was from Brenda, she has been through the process and probably understands it better than anyone else here.

She didn't apply as a refugee.
She didn't jump around the system, looking for a way to game it.
If I remember, she had to wait 6 months for paperwork.
So, no she's probably not the best. A criminal gang would have better answers.
