How about a few Airbus A-380's as military transports for the Canadian military?

I just came up with the idea, but I want to know what you guys think about it and if it's economically and realistically viable?

For what AM? Not for tac airlift as they a basically pax aircraft. Not for strat airlift as they have no ramp and would be pretty naff at moving heavy wheeled equipment or an mbt.

The C17 would do the job much better. It has strat and tac airlft capability and looks much cooler.

Have a peek inside......

The A380 is just what the enemy ordered!
A huge behemolith that only a few airports can handle.
An aircraft that needs a massive and expensive infrastructure to load/unload and,
with 1 shoulder launched fire-and-forget rocket
you can bring down 555 of our best Canadian troops.
Maybe they should nickname it "the crowd killer".

The 380 doesn't have a ramp. Military transport bird require's a ramp of quick loading of vehicules and goods.
