6 months, 28 days, 15 hours, and 15 minutes in country. 900+ dead, 2700+ wounded (Taliban, Al Quada, HIG, and some specials), 80% caused by A Bty. My freedom bird takes off tonight. I don't know how to explain it all but it was an interesting ride. What the news doesn't tell you is that we actualy were at war here. Weather there are battle honors given or not. This was a war that we took to them. If any of you go looking up some of the famous battles of the Panjwei distrect, you will stumble apon a story told to may in that area. How the Russian's took 2 Full divitions of soldiers into that area. How the Russians lost an entire division to casualties. Then the Russian's pulled out of Afghanistan for good. If you look hard enough you will aslo find a story of a Canadian Battle group that capured the distrect of Pashmul/Panjwei. Captured you might ask? YES we took it and we held it for 7 days. We then chased those who still chose to fight into Helmand provence and gave them a licking once again. We only needed one eigthof the man power taken by the Russians. You should be proud of the accompishments that Task Force Orion has achieved, and NEVER FORGET our fallen.
Lest we Forget
