Great video and a pretty unique introduction to the site, please feel free to post more on the same line. A link to the site would also be appreciated.

Miss the good times in the army. Training with other countries and traveling. What I don't miss is British Field kitchens breakfasts where everything goes into the deep fryer. Eggs, bacon, toast,
.
I'm sure the would have deep fried the coffee if they could.

I was in Northern Scotland back in the 70's and stopped at a little take away shoppe for a bite. Talking to the owner he told me he just started serving hamburgers....the usual pre-shaped patties.... I asked him how they were selling......not too good was his reply....How are you cooking them? I asked...."I just drop the patty in the deep fryer"......
So I spent an hour teaching him how to make a decent cheese burger, I wish I knew how things turned out with them....
The British Empire and colonization was driven by the search for good food. The colonists were those Britons who couldn't wait for it to be brought back.

It's called the "Full English". Breakfast is after all the most important meal, followed by lunch (or dinner as it's called there) and a light snack in the evening. Obesity was never an issue in Britain until, McDonalds came over in the eighties. It's the Scots though with there deep fried Mars bars where they crossed the line.

I'm not too sure about that, the place was just outside of Dunbeath on the A9 just about 20 miles south of Wick on the east coast. I don't know if anybody in Glasgow has even heard of the place, never mind eaten there....
Unfortunately, the're chewing up 6,000-7,000 year old archaeology, that covers the Salisbury Plain, every time they do that. I wish that they would find a better place.

I thought the Brits did anything larger than a battalion-level ex over here in Suffield? Or is that too expensive now?
