I'm no huge fan of Rick Mercier, but for him to give up a single Christmas and head for the shithole called Afghanistan and give those serving there a good laugh shows that he is a true entertainer....Norren on the other hand is what I would call a flash in the pan writer.

If the soldiers stories or reports bothered her so much why didn't she just turn off her television or radio or change the dial? Canada is at war and it is expected for the media to make reports about it. Maybe she doesn't care but I think many Canadians would like to know what is happening and the effects of this conflict.

What is sad about all this is the simple fact that Mr. Mercer failed to even adress the crux of her argument... which is that the media's portrayal of this war is pathetic, and the fact that it's wrong for our country to be involved in this in the first place.

Instead he attacks one phrase which allows him to turn the argument onto a point (poor sods legs) which has NOTHING to do with what she is saying.
It has nothing to do with her argument she makes... period.

Why you guys are all impressed with this is beyond me... knock yourself out patting your hero Rick on the back though. It's hilarious!
