Since it's that time of the year again, for those of you who either write them or see alot of them, what has your favorite PDR line been. I actually saw one that basicially stated "member moves at a speed of a glacier"

Any better out there?

I used this, but the boss made me take it out. We all believed it, but it was just too much ammo for a redress. I managed to get the same point across but it took like three lines instead of this :

Has hit bottom, continues to dig.

I'm guessing my boss would have said the same. Good one though.

Works well under constant supervision...

That was used as a demo... funny PDR.

Finished writing PERs... its at my Major's level. I'm guessing one more correction and I am done for this year...

Her's one, "His best qualitieis are "DECEIVING"....

I'm assuming a PDR is the same as an OMPF fitrep based on these comments.

In all the years I've had to put these things together I've only once had to write something negative into a file and that was:

"Will make a fine civilian upon completion of his current enlistment."

I'll have to remember that one Bart!

"Must continue to strive to attain medocrity..."
"Has consistently maintained his iron grip on the bottom of the Regimental merit list and will not release it in the near future..."
"since prior to enrollment, he has continued to demonstrate poor decision making skills..."
"Can be only be relied upon to push on pull doors..."

Only the first two survived. The others had to be deleted by the Sqn OC. There were many other "acceptable" word pictures...

I don't miss that stuff at all.

Nor do I Spr. I might be a P2 but I have zero subordinates in my present job. Not great for the leadership section of the PER but I can live with that. Two ranks higher than I ever expected to be now.......LOL

SprCForr @ Tue Mar 20, 2007 8:19 pm

I hear you.

I kept trying to keep the pay raise but hand the rank back. There days when I dreamt of "0" subordinates, not many, but ohh, those "some days"! My wife says I was lucky that I didn't have me to deal with. She's usually right.

ArmyMan @ Wed Mar 21, 2007 3:23 am

Wullu, you are pretty lucky, no reports to write [drool] . I'm just behind you in the ranks and normally have 4 or 5 to write up every 3 months or so (if we do it like we are suppost to  )

"Smith" has low standards and continuously fails to meet them.

I was once (in my younger days) described as "A well built airman who is a social giant." I was a hero in the bar for that comment!!!

Wholly fuck Bart, that nearly made me piss myself, I have a fairly extensive collection of PDR directives dating back 15 years or so, it is comical how the countries political correctness evolves, some of the stuff you can't say anymore that I have in my collection makes for some good laughs, words like dull, not bright, pompous, trustless, it's awesome.
