Well the first step since you have the internet is to search for the Canadian armed forces website. Unless you're a Canadian citizen you don't qualify.

You may have to swing some deal with the US military first because you are not a citizen but the relationship between the US and Canadian militaries is quite large so the possibilities are there to act as a supporting soldier rather than an actual Canadian soldier .Might be a way to help get a canadian citizenship . Wait long enough and I'm sure someone here will have a better answer

A classic quote. Keep making quotes like this and you get the MaxUberSuper-Canucl medal.

Um...I'm with derby on that, what is wrong with it?
I'm more wondering why he would not want to join the US Military. We do have some very outstanding units... I actualy got very lucky and was put into a platoon that sucked royal dick but quickly got a transfer to one kick ass platoon. My best years in the army was with this Unit. We worked our asses of and had a ton of fun at the same time.

Who said anything was wrong with it. I've been in it for years. (When you come fishing DerbyX we can compare REAL medals).
I am just curious as to why any foreigner would want to join our military and not his own. My real world experience suggests there is generally an ulterior motive.
When I was Tricks age a group of us were pretty serious about linking up with the Afghanis to fight the Soviets we hated them that much.
DerbyX: Are you going to stalk me throughout the threads forever on this issue? Geez, you'd think I'd personally attached it to my profile. Go stalk the mods and the nominators. You have to find a way to overcome stage two of general adaptation syndrome.
Oh waaaiiitttt a minute. DerbyX, the self described great Canadian and defender of all that is Canuck doesn't have the medal. My my my....jealous? Feelings hurt? Maybe you should ask Iceowl (some assembly required) or reOpen911 or any other to nominate you. Better yet, nominate yourself.

You inferred it. Do you need a dictionary to define that word?
BTW, I work in an under-appreciated field. Ypur medals and my lack thereof aren't an accurate reflection anymore then if I attacked people who didn't hold an equivalent degree of education.
I also know that people like MCB have stated that the CAF hands out medals very cheaply. Is he right?

An ulterior motive. I wasn't sure if he was a CDN simply living in the US.
Perhaps he finds my country desirable.
You wouldn't say the same if it were a CDN joing the USMC eh?

Excellent.
You support the taliban eh? Tougue in cheek.

Uhh, when you post in the same threads I do......... A very pedestrian forum accusation.

Thank you for saying this. I was hoping you would. If you only knew what I know.
BTW, I was the reason you were denied the medal so many months ago.
More will come.
See ya when I see ya.
Girls, be quiet and stop changing the subject...

Without hearing tone, seeing body language etc How on earth do you come to that conclusion? Spell out for me exactly how I transgressed the C(A)F.
DerbyX DerbyX:

Depends on your point of view. They give you a medal for almost every mission over a certain amount of time, usually 30 days but most time in theatre is 6 months +. There are also a few medals associated with just peacekeeping and for time in service CD. In comparison to most countries Canada is pretty stingy with the recognition though. 1-3 and the guy is experienced. 4-8 and he is an old vet. 9+ is very impressive and rare.
DerbyX DerbyX:
Perhaps he finds my country desirable
Perhaps you should be suspicious that he so quickly abandons his own
DerbyX DerbyX:

Those would be my exact words except I would replace Canadian military with US military.
DerbyX DerbyX:
Excellent. You support the taliban eh? Tougue in cheek.
I kinda thought someone would say that. There was no such thing as the Taliban then but the threat of the Soviet Union was very real. It was my patriotic duty (somewhat misguided) to defend Canada against communist aggression....since that aggression was over there......
DerbyX DerbyX:

That’s twice in a night you've used the term pedestrian. Is this the word of the week in Red Digest?
DerbyX DerbyX:
If you only knew what I know.
Then my cognitive reasoning capabilities would be significantly reduced.

Did you get my Conservative one squashed too? That had all six nominations unchallenged.

Denials or medals?
