They weren't used to being beat and many of the atrocities against Canadians were because of it. After being engaged with the Canadians for nearly a month, they weren't close to the same force when they finally disbanded (for the lack of a better word) at Falaise. The 3rd Division wasn't the same either, but lived to fight on.

:?

Care to rephrase that for me? I'm tired, and I can't quite understand exactly what you mean by this...

I definately don't mean to distract from this conversation but I've been reading " a war of partols" by William Johnston and we accounted for ourselves very well in Korea too. That is why I brought that up.
We did a great job almost everywhere we've been but the CBC won't fund anything fuzzy so there will never be a film on the Medac pocket, Cyprus or so many of those nameless hills in Korea. The reason has nothing to do with the bravery or merit of the mission, but the potential aftermath back here in Ottawa. That is desgusting in my opinion.

Because the Hitler Youth were not accustomed to being beat, they murdered Canadian POWs. Another reason there weren't as many 12thSS prisoners either.

Oh, if anyone is wondering about two thirds of a division, I am thinking that would be the two independant army tank brigades bootlegga?

That is indeed what I was talking about.

Pretty cool little show, I especially like the part where it shows the 12th SS running away from the Regina Rifles!
