I could not find a thread leading to this here yesterday.
My thoughts are thus.
The people that gave their all, and some their lives for this, showed the world what Canada is really made of.
At the end of the day they did us proud.
I thank you and words are not enough.
You will always be part of my life experience , even though I never served.

Done and done...
8 years ago today lost a very good friend of mine in Afghanistan.
RIP Frankie.
My condolences as well 2Cdo.
Remember all the good times.
Thanks everyone. Knew Frank ever since he graduated basic training, he pretty much followed behind me on postings. Quiet fellow, never interested in advancing to leadership positions, just wanted to do his job.
The worst part of his death was knowing it was going to be his last deployment and was retiring from the military on his return to Canada. He missed it by less than 3 weeks.
This next few weeks are tough ones for me, lots of memories from good men, many who are friends, that paid the ultimate price.
