I'm not quite there yet, but I think it will be time to be wrapping up this last ill thought out attempt to impose order through arms in this region of the world.
The biggest reason for me is the belief that Canada doesn't have the power to accomplish the defeat of the Taliban and an unwillingness/inability on the part of other nations to do what's necessary to get this done.
If you have an open border between Afganistan and the tribal areas. If Pakistan can't or doesn't want to stop ressuplies and funding there's no way to dry up this source of support for troops fighting in Afganistan.
If wars can't or won't be won, they shouldn't be started. Once this becomes aparent, the sacriffices of our young loses any redeeming value.

I meant bring them Home and let Germany and the Party Brigade ala France fight for awhile. They are lounging over there protected by ROE's whilst our troops fight the fight. Hello the Germans and French arn't allowed out after dark, are they a fighting force or pre-schoolers? Are our Nato Partners ready to step up to the plate and help Canada, US, and Britian?
