Watch your step when your jumping to conclusions, that first step could be a dusey.

Faulty products make it though inspection at times.

   

Unfortunately its as much a matter of conditioning as it is pre-existing conditions.

That puppy one to be looked faked but I could be wrong.

The dog shooting one is just beyond sick. As yet nobody has identified the uniforms so all we have are a basic guess they are US based on the voices heard and general equipment.

This is far more distrubing then the puppy video but strangely their is far less mention of it.

I gave the link to snopes and hopefully they will shed some light.

I don't know but I doubt it. He looked like a fighter.

When the first link got axed I went looking for another link and came across what I thought was video from a little bit before. It was only about 5 seconds but was from inside a building with similiar attired troops and a white dog in the background. The only voice heard was english laughing "hey, lets go shoot that dog for fun". It then cut out.

Might be the same guys, might not. Even if it were a starving dog their reactions were disturbing.

They may be private security like blackwater or US marines/other troops.

Whatever they were they were either US or Canadian judging entirely by their accent.

They were not Canadian military. The weapons that they are using are M4 Carbines and not the C9.

They are US troops and not private security. Several things in the video make that clear to me.

As to the context of the video, we're just seeing a few emotionally charged seconds of it. I'm interested in what transpired prior to the moments shown on the video. Was this perhaps a dog that was threatening the soldiers? Was the dog sick? Was it injured? What was it that occured that got these troops to shoot the dog and to record it?

If it was just for giggles, then these guys had best be out of Iraq ASAP because the troops in general over there like the local dogs quite a bit. Harming a dog for no good reason at all is not going to make you popular with everyone else over there.

   

I have two cousins in Iraq and from what they've told me all the soldiers over there love the dogs as it is one of the only things that brings them comfort and reminds them of home. So this is obviously very disturbing to me. Heres a great story about a few dogs from Iraq who were saved by a family near my home.

shooting an innocent dog is cruel and inhumane. These soldiers should be sent back to where they came from and punished. Just plain sick

   

tormenting it is wrong, but we used to shoot most stray dogs around our place, as did a lot of people.

   

maybe its time for usa to get out of iraq. If they treat innocent animals this way shooting and throwing puppies to their death. I wonder who are the good guys and who are the bad guys.

   

Nor were they wearing Cdn uniforms.
