But why silence it at all? The guys are normally in another time zone when they taking targets with a .50. It would be something like this. "Hey look, Bob jess fell down with a large hole in his chest, count 1, 2, 3, 4 bang. For the 2400m shot the guys took in Afghan a few years back the sound would have gotten there about 4 seconds after the round.
Wullu sound attracts attention... if enough guys can figure out where in the hell the shot came from chances are motar rounds being dumped into your area... will happen soon after.......

The guy firing in the vid is not a sniper. The guy on the spotting scope probably is. I figure it's more a Battle Group weapons familiarisation range day.
I miss those kind of days...
