It's not unusual for a thread to be started with an article minus much commentary from the thread starter. I haven't added much commentary simply because I think the articles speak for themselves. If you wanted to add some intelligent comments of your own you could, but instead all I've seen from you is a lot of whining.
So, instead of whining, do you have anything worthwhile to say about the article(s) posted in this thread, or are you going to continue to deflect away from its topic?

One of the distinguishing marks of a police state is its cruelty—its cruelty to other nations, as well as to its own citizens.
We see this cruelty more and more every day in America. We see it every time a cop Tasers someone in a wheelchair, or handcuffs a child for misbehaving in kindergarten, or kicks in the wrong door and shoots an old lady to death, or pepper-sprays a crowd of men, women, and children who have assembled peaceably to exercise their first amendment rights. And we see it abroad, too, every time an American soldier or Blackwater mercenary rapes or murders an innocent Iraqi civilian and every time someone is tortured in one of America's many concentration camps around the world.

February 12, 2008— By forcing repeat combat assignments to Iraq and Afghanistan – and by winking at torture and indiscriminate killings – George W. Bush is degrading the reputation of the U.S. military, turning enlisted soldiers and intelligence officers into murderers and sadists.
For instance, on Feb. 10 at Camp Liberty in Iraq, Army Ranger Sgt. Evan Vela was sentenced by a U.S. military court to 10 years in prison for executing an unarmed Iraqi detainee who – along with his son – had stumbled into a U.S. sniper position last year.
After letting the 17-year-old son go, Vela’s squad leader, Staff Sgt. Michael Hensley ordered Vela to use a 9-millimeter pistol to shoot the father, Genei Nesir Khudair al-Janabi, in the head, an order that Vela carried out.
“It was murder, plain and simple,” military prosecutor, Major Charles Kuhfahl, told the court.
