Hello....I am new to this forum and looking for help. I have recently taken up the Mandolin. I purchased a used "AIDA" mandolin and it is awesome. The trouble I have is I can't find out any information on it. Someone told me it might be Japanese and the company out of business. I would really like to know about my new instrument, if anyone can show mw some direction. Feel free to e-mail me if you have information [email protected]

hey there,

i also play the mandolin and i have another thread on this site about mandolins.

i have never heard of this brand of mandolin before. i have 2 mandolins, my first one was an Anjo A-style mandolin but that one broke (the neck came away from the body). so i bought a new one, a Fender F-style mandolin, electric. (well, acoustic/electric i guess)

anyone else find it ironic that the style that i happened to get are the same letter as the brand? just to make it clear, most mandolins regardless of the brand fall under one of the two styles: F or A. the A-style is the teardrop style and the other is more elaborate.

this is a pic of the A-style:

and this is a pic of the F-style:

and this is my fender electric mandolin:
