Does anything compare in music to the talents of Randy Bachman no matter who he played with. Bachman-Turner Overdrive/Guess Who is the best band(s) of all time. If you disagree, I will fight you, that's no lie.

Hell Bachman is just lucky he met Cummins. Otherwise he'd have been destined to a lifetime of selling his latest album between sets at the local tavern. I'd put Miles Goodwin (April Wine) ahead of either of them though.

But Neil Young (Buffalo-Springfield, Crazy Horse, CSNY, solo),... need I say more?

Rush has to be considered as one of the best Canadian band too.

I think Randy was better in The Guess Who, but he sorta went crazy, AKA Mormon, and made BTO. He wasn't bad in BTO, he definatly wrote his best songs, unless you count Undone, which was pretty good too.

Rush or The Tragically Hip are still my favourit, but The Gues Who/BTO are my 3rd favourits easy. Try try try to let it ride...

While I would agree that they are one of the greats, I don't think they are the best, just the first great canadian band.Rush is probably the greatest, then the Hip but there are so many really good ones out there.
lemme think...
Max Webster
Goddo
Moxy
Anvil
Killer Dwarfs
Chilliwack
Trooper
Helix
Triumph

I'll bet not too many people know about Pile Driver. They were Canadian. Kind of heavy stuff though.

Oh yea, Anvil was great too.

When they started the band, BTO was called Brave Belt. I saw them in a local bar just a few months before they changed their name and became really big. They had at least one album under that name as well.
Rush played my high school one week and Triumph played there the next....back in the good old days.

I remember those days too. Imagine any good band playing a high scholl today.
