Just thought it would be cool to have a thread where we could share Canadian music with each other....

I find it is sometimes hard to find out about new and old Canadian Artists since we are constantly being bombarded with American Music....

So anyway just share whatever Canadian Music you're listening to, and maybe include a sentence about what kind of music it is, region of Canada it is from, or whatever else you think might be relevant....

I'll start with.....

K'naan - The Dusty Foot Philosopher (Name of the song and Album)

This guy (K'naan) is a Torontonian with African roots. The music is hip hop, but nothing like the commercial crap rap people are more used to.....It's conscious hip hop, and he deals with personal issues, Canadian issues, and African issues....very cool if you listen to the lyrics.

Mushaboom - Feist

She was nominated for a Juno....I just bought this album off iTunes and so far I'm really liking it....It is really chill, incredible female vocal.

They list it as "pop" on iTunes but I wouldn't really call it that....

I was stabbed by Satan - K'naan

Apparently there is a saying that says Satan stabs children at birth to teach them about pain, "welcome to the world"....

...this man, formerly of the Tea Party, has the sexiest voice ever. You can not help yourself, as you hear him sing you just start taking your clothes off.
