Analysis: PQ demands for powers prelude to referendum
Scape Scape:
She is more dangerous then Rene Levesque and Lucien Bouchard combined.
René Levesques would have NEVER accepted those resolutions. He was for bilingualism and thought everybody should learn English. The PQ is becoming more and more a radical party. I don't have any problem with that. That means less people will vote for them.
So if Quebec starts to ban English in Quebec and bar students from attending English Colleges and make every street sign French and whatever else they have in there plans. Does this mean English Canada can finally stop adopting French as it's second Language? Starting with News and schools not making French class mandatory instead making it optional as that would be sweet. Please Quebec, please seperate and start a language war with the government. Please oh please.
It's really too bad most Quebecers aren't nutjobs sepratists and are smarter than these people that these people will never get a majority vote. I'd really like to see these sepratists dreams come true just to watch them realize how failed the idea is and how little they actually thought it through or good they had it.

What the hell would happen if any other political jurisdiction tried to make the use of French illegal...not just make English their only official language, but to actually make it illegal, complete with penalties, to display French on a commercial sign in their jurisdiction?
I'd pay to see that happen. Call it 'Bill 102'.

Get rid of the numeric component and just call it 'Bill-FU'
