Mr. Canada, I have yet to see one Anti-Candian remark. And I live in Texas! :)

Clogeroo sums it up nicely. Many Americans just do not care what happens in Canada. You do your own thing and your not signing nuclear agreements with Iran. If the latter happens, I am sure Anti-Canadianism would rise in the US.
Well, the Iraq War drove many an American crazy against Canada, ;)

Ever here the term, "Bomb Canada"? They have it on T-shirts nowadays...

Well Mr_Canada I must agree with you on that one.
Yeah.

Bill O'Rielly, Ann Coulter, Paul Weyrich, Fred Phelps, Tucker Carlson and Pat Buchanan can go screw themselves....

Bastards....

Interesting. What is this "nuclear crisis in Iran" you speak of?

Canada is as wealthy as it is due to Our forefathers/Mothers and their hard work. By Producing saleable products and Trading those products, they and we became what we are. We owe no foreign nation anything except to abide by our agreements with them.

Before the US was our largest Trading partner, Britain was. Sometime circa the early 20th century the US began to be our major Trading partner. In both cases neither Britain or the US did much more than Buy some of what they needed from us. We have no obligation to thank either for what was our own doing.

Well, even that sentiment is aimed mainly at Europeans, aka France. Perhaps most of the anger towards Canada is really directed at Quebec? :P

I have never seen that shirt, but I have seen the "I am Canadian shirts" sold in Texas. :)

I am currently in College Station at Texas A&M University. I lived in Houston for all of my life. I like it here. Everything is extremely cheap.

Where I grew up the US had zero influence on its existance and is one of "THE" most successful places in the country if not the most successful .

The US buys anything and everything . They have almost zero success in any feild of origin whether science , technology , or what have you .

Your appeal to the US is ignorant .

If your love for the US is an acknowledgment of them then great , but as wholesomely and influentally as you make it out to be , and an end all , then I suggest you go to the kitchen drawer where the scissors are , cut up your SIN card and leave .

"Anti-Americanism within Canada is utterly stupid." I am not anti-American because I live in America, the Canadian part but I am Anti-US foreign policy in a big way.

There's more to the U.S. than what you see through young eyes. There is history going back hundreds of years that influeneces my thinking not the least of which is the way the two nations laid out side by each, developed over their first couple of centuries.

Next but certainly not least is the manner in which the United States has conducted itself over my short lifetime and that brings us to the present.

I could simply criticize the present administration quite easily regarding their present foreign policy but that would be a little unfair seeing that the U.S.'s foreign policy could be seen as much the same over the last forty or so years, without regard for any specific administration whether Democrat or Republican.
And I could state that it's the U.S.'s foreign policy alone that make me angry, and that the people per se are OK but that would be a lie because I hold the peoples of a Democratic nation responsible for the actions of their administration. I won't say I hate the U.S. but I hold it in much less regard than they "Americans" would probably understand or appreciate. Too bad, sooo sad.

hmmm. Maybe anti-Americanisme has to do with our dependence on them, as mentioned by Mr. Canada. But I think the principle reasons are differences in politics and simply the way of life. A few days ago I seen on Sportsnet that 7/10 Canadian athletes who go to the United States to play college sports return because of differences in the way of life.

I could talk for hours on things I dislike about the United States.

What highschool does this guy come from? It seems everyone is way too pro-American donning their American Eagle clothing, and watching American Idol because its the cool thing to do. The only Anti-American sentiment around here is "Bush sucks." or "I'm Canadian not American.".

Sounds like your saying "We should'nt saying anything bad about the almighty USA as not to upset our American overlords, but its ok for them to talk shit about us.".

We've been poking fun at each other since the American Revolution, its always been like that and always will be.

I think the OP has a point. For the longest time, CBC's definition of Canadian Content was anything that was NOT american.....thats why we had to watch all those crappy foriegn movies at 1:30 am.

I think it still is. Still, I like that CBC overnight plays news from around the world from the various english versions of the news programs. Seems with the more choice we get the more Americanisms we get, kind of a false choice. I like the US but it is one country, not the world.

I fucking HATE American Eagle!

The only Anti-American sentiment here is me and a few Anti-American conservatives. Everyone else hates me and acts Anti-Canadian to be cool.

I'm so hated that it's cool to hate my beliefs.

I fucking would like to stab a pencil in some of these fuckers necks.

RUEZ RUEZ:
Is that you? Your very feminine for a man. No wonder you want prostitution to be legal. Now I know what you mean by working in the "oil industry". Still if you're so embarrased to be Canadian GTFO.

RUEZ: I was going to come back with a nasty reply, but I won't. I will say this better. Are you listening Mr_Canada too?

Maybe it's better if you got to know the REAL me.

I was born in Hamiliton, ON, and I have every right to stay here and voice my opinion as do you. If I was an immigrant to this country, then that would be an entirely different scenario. I would first question, "why did you come here if you dislike Canada so much?" But RUEZ, this is not the case.

Canada use to be the best place on earth, 15 years ago. Now.. not so much.

Young twerps like yourself, RUEZ, have basically destroyed the country with greed, intolerance and ignorance.

It seems you are the "me" gerneration, fast paced, uncaring. You forget to stop and see the people around us.

The poor and homeless in Canada have become a second class, who we blame for their own misfortune. "Oh they want to live like that," "Oh they are on drugs, who cares."

If you really care about what my "true" political feelings, here they are.

As a person blessed to have lived in Canada and the United States, I look at it differently I guess. (no I'm not a die hard Cracker Republican Hillbilly, as I portray in fun)

As far as the United States, I like the Republican party, the melting pot and assimilation. I also like President Bush because he had the balls to do what had to be done in Iraq, remove an evil dictator despite criticism from the Democrats.

In Canada, I kinda like the Liberal Government, because I think they best uphold what Canada was/is all about, diversity, caring, tolerance and Canada's way of life.

No country is perfect, the USA nor Canada, and when you realize what is wrong with your country though dialog and debate afforded to us by the democracy that we live in, we can fix it for all Canadians, and future generations.

No RUEZ I don't "hate" Canada, I feel bad at times when it's -40C in Alberta and it's 70F in Dallas.

Do I really hate Canada, NO. I miss Dallas. 15 years state side, and a move at my age is very hard. I left all my friends in Texas, and a lifestyle I grew custom too.

Also the added stress of starting up 5 companies and trying to get them going all in a new place, new laws and new rules.

Yes, Calgary is a shock, prices mainly and the cold.

Finally, yes "I AM CANADIAN" and yes "I AM PROUD TO BE CANADIAN." (just don't tell anyone)
