I've grown tired of this anti-social individual and suspect the best way to deal with him posting topics of hatered are to simply post replies that are so long they take the wind out of his sails. For instance, I have a 23 page report on the theories of flight i think I'll attach to each of the postings he starts. If he replies to a post I'll simply ignore his response and move onto other member's replies.

   

I could do the same, I am finishing a physics course (final exam tonite on fathers day) and could post a few theory of laser and optics.

OR... you could flag his posts (exclamation point in the bottom corner) and let the moderators check it out. If the shoe fit, we will jail him.

That's the way to debate a point that opposes yours; say something totally inane and long winded. No wonder our political system is so messed up.

nah ...some people just need to describe their opponent everytime they talk in hopes they'll hear back from them . hence the name cagerattler .

The best way to deal with him is just ban him. He is clearly just troller and not here to debate intelligently. We are not a democracy, and I think everyone here agrees that the board would be better without this individual.

   

I've hung back and watched him start threads then ignore any counterpoints, or counter opinions. He's a troll who brinds nothing to the forum.

   

I'm working on an essay about nihilism & political mythology I'm sure he could benefit from!

   

You chastise him for posting topics of hatred yet can't abstain from such acts yourself by creating four ridiculous threads describing your disdain of him?

I'm no fan of Cagerattler either and think he is a nut short but don't stoop to his level. Ignore his posts. Simple yet effective.

   

If it keeps up I'm just going to merge all his threads into one big happy topic and let him sort it out.

   

Just go my scores -> 81% on the Final and that gives me 84% for the course.
