Yes they are indeed. You'd be suprised on what is over here. some Quebecois still believe in tradition. Unlike some.... ( I am not gonna mention ).

Maybe it just symbolizes that the Brits conquered them.

Not sure on what exactly it symbolizes, Most likely the British colony. Yet, it is part of Canada and the tradition part of it ``is what I like``. Most dam separatists would like to see something else I am sure.
If you want some more info, here is the internet access to it

Yah but I would have expected some seperatists attacks on them or other violent acts as the name British isnt exactly sacred there.

I've been to almost every Province and Territory in Canada, Newfoundland and Nunavut are the last remaining to visit and although I've enjoyed every part of Canada, BC will always be my home. The mountains and the ocean here are just a part of me and I can't see me ever leaving them. I will always enjoy going all around our nation though, every part of Canada has a unique charm about it.

Although Vancouver with the background (the rockies) has to be beautiful... Never been there myself, although it will be my next visit. And Toronto is included in my places to visit. You guys got something to be proud out there.
