If you don't like the law then do something to get rid of it.
Why should Michael Moore, an American citizen, be allowed to have his political views aired in the mass media, when you and I, as Canadian citizens, are not allowed to do the same?
We have gag laws limiting our own free speech when it comes to politics and elections. Why should we worry about protecting the free speech of some loud mouthed American asshole when he puts his nose where it doesn't belong?

Moore didn't buy comerical time. He said it in an interview and the media put it on TV. People are allowed to give there opinions, no mater where they are from. I dont not want to live in a country where people get charged for this. its foolish.

Sure it's foolish, but it is the law. It is foolish to be charged for jay-walking too, but people do get charged.
Why should Moore, a non Canadian, get to use (abuse) his public fame to influence our elections while we can't?
You should be spending more time defending our freedom of speech than Michael Moore's. As long as we have no freedom of speech during an election, then neither should Michael Moore. Charge him. (Charges are going to be laid by the way).

Our freedom of speach is Moores. Though i dont like useing the term our freedom, why ours and why not theres. Freedoms cross boarder.

Our freedoms aren't being challenged here, Third Eye. We are allowed to voice our opinions on our news shows. If somebody with a mic approached me on the street during our last election I could have said the same things as Moore with absolute impunity.
