Chretien holds as much responsibility for dividing the LPoC as Martain does. The only reason he was in power so long is because there wasnt an oposition and hordes of money spent on propaganda

He's the goon of Canadian politics, who set the record for the most meddling by the PMO in the RCMP, defence contracts, and public spending in general. He was an arogant, corrupt man who suceeded in politics only because he outlasted so many others.
It's appropriate that he's shown here as the godfather.

He may not have put us in Iraq but he put us in Haiti and Afghanistan with no plan, goalposts or consultation from the rest of the country.
Does not putting us in one war excuse him from putting us in another, without authority from the Canadian people?
There is a definate difference between civil relations and Chretien used the US as a boogey man to get support from the lefties and French. How far did his "not kissing the "American bastards" ass set the tone for the softwood lumber or the border ID issues now?
As for his charisma; like making a mockery of the Gomery or any other investigation of him?
There was some occasion where Chretien used the RCMP to harass some bank manager in Quebec. If anyone recalls the names, please shoot me over a link. It was a perfect example of Chretien abusing his authority.
