Oh and queers, cross dressers and drag queens aren't my issue but good luck with that.
Sure they are. Drag queen Enza Anderson didn't get to debate. Despite being in 3rd place with 13,000+ votes.
Where were you and Faith calling the media our for this terribly undemocratic decision?
That was in 2000, right? I wasn't into politics back then. A lot of bigotry in those bad ol' days though, I heard. And no SJWs to shut it down.
But yeah, if she was polling 3rd ahead of 32 other candidates back then and the Powers That Be were selecting candidates from that 32 behind her to debate ahead of her, like what's happening with Faith, then she had a legitimate complaint.
Turns out that Faith was invited to this debate. She forgot to fill out the paperwork even after being reminded. More to follow I’m sure.
Get the fuck out. What's the source on that?

An organizer told Global News on Monday that all candidates were asked to fill out a survey and show they had a policy on the arts. The organizer said if a candidate did not then they would not be invited and Goldy did not have a policy.

So were doing the ol' anonymous sources trick are we, Global?
Here's some first source information Global won't show you:
The "article" offers up a traditional Prog->Comm shower of smears and slurs on her character then pretends it has an actual source on some alleged paperwork Faith didn't fill out.
Here's a question Global. Why didn't you ask Faith her side of that story? Lying, smear-merchant, fake news, bad imitation of a Soviet propaganda machine.

Actually, the woman was interviewed on TV and talked specifically about the process.
Far from anonymous.
Faith had no arts platform nor did she complete the survey that was sent to her.
Actually, the woman was interviewed on TV and talked specifically about the process.
Show me or it has no more merit than an anonymous source.
And I was still working on that when Coach quoted Beave.
What I wound up with was "Lying, smear-merchant, fake news, bad imitation of a Soviet propaganda machine." I'll stand by that. Or should I add, "also Beave's Bible?"

$1:
Sue Edworthy, a spokesperson for Artsvote Toronto, the group responsible for organizing the debate, said candidates were invited to fill out a survey about their position on arts and culture in the city in order to determine who should be invited.
“We also looked at whether there was a platform and track record for supporting arts and culture in Toronto. That’s how we determined which candidates to invite,” she added.
When asked if Goldy filled out the survey, Edworthy responded, "To the best of our knowledge, she did not fill out the survey."
Who to believe? Investigative Journalism is dead in Canada so nobody is going to ask Faith.
Does it make sense that she wouldn't do the paperwork then organize a rally and get 5000 signatures to allow her to debate?
It doesn't.
I mean it's nice that the arts council woman has been pressured into offering up her name this time to CP24 but notice how weasel wordy her statement has become.
She gives us an excuse that candidates had to show a priority of supporting arts and culture in Toronto yet CBC tells us "Jennifer Keesmaat used a mayoral debate on the arts to launch sharp attacks on John Tory's transit plans, and his leadership amid a labour lockout."
Global also says, "However, throughout the debate the topic shifted toward transit issues and affordable housing in the city."
So Arts and Culture were a priority that weren't actually much of a priority.
Also, the idea these other candidates were arts and culture experts is nonsense. Hears an obvious question our fearless investigators didn't think of asking. Why was Sue making a priority of interest in Arts. Shouldn't she want to know how the next mayor would be contributing to arts and culture? Wouldn't she want the 3 most likely candidates to be the mayor to tell her about it? One would think that should have been the priority. Even if one candidate turned out to be a Philistine wouldn't she want the public to know that? Why would it be more important to hear from people not even Google has ever heard of - such as the three who were offered up in Faith's place.
Try making sense, Sue Edworthy. I'm starting to see why you didn't want to give Global your name.
And now this lady who apparently can now give use her name will bravely come forward and when asked if Faith returned this supposedly vital form respond with what sounded like "I don't recall."
Well actually what she said was ""To the best of our knowledge, she did not fill out the survey."
Here's an idea then for the investigative journalists. Ask Faith. Coach says they did but we're still waiting for the link on that. I won't be holding my breath.
But if one these guys ever had the idea of asking the central character in their allegations for information they wouldn't have to rely on weasel words like "claiming" when describing her petition of 5000 names wanting her to debate.
Talk to her and she'll show you the petition. Seems pretty basic.
Oh and the cop manhandling Faith was overkill. It wasn't necessary.
