Admit? Not a chance, not only have I handled those weapons, I've also been instructed in the use, fired them, loaded them, cleaned them, cradled them, fondled them, but never abused them. . . . c'est la vie esstee aye?

Oops, my bad, Madman. Restricted means you can have them under certain circumstances, prohibited means you cannot have them at all.

yep, unless you were grandfathered a prohib, and have a FAC-POL/PAL
which entitles you to posses that prohibited firearm(rare circumstance)
otherwise you can get in real big doo-doo
restricted is still somewhat easy to get, you take the restricted course & test($40 extra) and you must use a restricted firearm at a range, and have an authorization to transport(ATT) to move it around, only between your residence and a store or range

How many of the real bad Asses out there do you think will line up and redester there restricted weapons.
So what is the point, to get the shotguns out of the farmer’s hands?

I hope you are no for real avro, wont work, the people commiting crimes with guns will still have them, just enforce existing laws, the judicial system is a joke around this, if some dude is on the street even with a registered pistol and an att, if he is caught with it loaded on his person he can go to jail for 20 years i beleive, but the judges do F@#$ all. If they find some punk on the street with an illegal gun, they need to throw the book at him, not rip out a page and whipe his ass for him with it, Never the less firearm homocides in canada are very low, most people with registered guns do not commit crimes
